A Place once or Twice Removed
from a not-so-distant past
The guiding flames of Sun's memoirs
the Shadows that they cast
They ignore my fight for happiness
for this involves them not
Choking on a memory
whose Power I've forgot
My veins may taunt me Empty
as I try to drain the pain
The World evolving ceaselessly
but I am just the same
A numbness of the tongue have I
Tho' many swear it moved
But I have long since dwelled within
A Place once or Twice removed
